The AD/ Sauternes Cask Release is an un-peated single malt from Ardnnamurchan Distillery, aged for eight years and matured in two distinct stages. After spending five and a half years in ex-Bourbon casks, this whisky was further enhanced by 30 months in luxurious ex-Sauternes wine barriques. The result is a wonderfully balanced whisky, showcasing a unique interplay between sweetness and savoriness.
 
On the nose, expect rich aromas of apricot jam, almond flakes, marzipan, and brioche bread, along with dried stone fruits. The palate delivers a more savory experience with notes of seeded bread, green peppercorn sauce, apricot, and heather honey. The finish is dry and less sweet than the nose, providing a refined balance that lingers.
