The Benriach The Smoky Ten is a distinctive Speyside single malt that pays homage to Benriach's tradition of using Highland peat for malting. In the early 1970s, Benriach reintroduced this old, 19th-century style of whisky production, using wood-rich Highland peat to impart sweet and smoky notes. This expression combines both unpeated and peated spirit, matured for at least ten years in a trio of casks: bourbon barrels, Jamaican rum casks, and toasted virgin oak. The result is a sublimely smooth whisky with layers of sunripe fruit, aromatic smoke, and toasted oak spice, leading into a perfectly balanced sweet and smoky finish.
 
The bright gold whisky carries a rich aroma of ripe orchard fruit syrup, smoked honey glaze, and oak spice. On the palate, experience the depth of smoked applewood, honey maple, and spiced pear, which finishes with lingering fruit and smoked oak.
