An Irish single malt like no other, Glendalough Single Malt Mizunara Cask Finish is aged for seven years and then finished in the rare and prized Mizunara oak from Japan’s Hokkaido island. This unique cask allows the whiskey to seep deep into the porous Mizunara wood, pulling out distinctive flavors and resulting in an exceptional Irish-Japanese fusion.
 
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Bright and floral with vibrant fruity notes.
Palate: Smooth and fresh with citrusy undertones, orchard fruits, and a hint of biscuity malt. Rich notes of vanilla, fudge, and honey blend with dark chocolate orange, sandalwood, and cinnamon from the Mizunara oak.
Finish: Exceptionally long and layered with toasted oak, warm spices, and lingering dark chocolate.
 
Serving Suggestion: Enjoy neat in a Glencairn glass to fully appreciate the depth brought out by the Mizunara cask.
