Peated to a staggering 307.2 PPM, Octomore 15.3 is one of the most heavily peated releases to date. Crafted from 100% Islay-grown Concerto barley from Octomore Farm, this robust and complex single malt is a true showcase of Islay’s terroir. Distilled in 2018 and aged for 5 years in a combination of first-fill bourbon casks and first-fill Oloroso hogsheads from Fernando de Castilla in Jerez, Spain, Octomore 15.3 bursts with character, balancing formidable smoke with ripe fruit and malty sweetness.
 
On the nose, smoked cinder toffee, rich malted barley sugar, and honey lead the way, followed by fresh citrus, dried fruits, and the unmistakable sea air of Islay. The palate delivers a soft, rounded texture with creamy vanilla, butterscotch, dried fruits, and toasted oak, all underpinned by intense dry smoke. The finish lingers with burnt sugar, coconut, delicate sea spray, and earthy peat smoke, making this whisky a phenomenal force of flavour.
