Named for the three tribes of Oaxaca, Tres Tribus Tobalá Mezcal is a tribute to the region’s rich heritage. Created by mezcal aficionados Juan Coronado and Juan Antonio Coronel, this mezcal honors traditional production techniques and sustainable practices. Crafted from wild tobalá agave, allowed to mature over decades, each plant is cooked for up to a week in underground ovens fueled by local oak, lending a delicate, smoky profile to the mezcal. Natural fermentation occurs in clay jars with wild yeasts and local water before double distillation in a copper still, yielding an intensely expressive spirit.
Tres Tribus Tobalá boasts a rare and complex flavor profile. Enjoy distinct notes of cooked pineapple, ripe figs, quince, and rich cacao with subtle floral undertones of jasmine. Sustainability is at its heart, as Tres Tribus remains the only B-Corp certified mezcal producer, dedicated to protecting Oaxaca's traditions and environment.
