Exclusive Beginnings
 
Established as a Habano brand in 1969, Trinidad cigars were initially produced exclusively as gifts for foreign diplomats, similar to the prestigious Cohiba. It wasn't until 1998 that these coveted cigars were made available to the general public, though in very limited quantities, adding to their allure.
 
Expansion and Prestige
 
The Trinidad brand began with a single size, Fundadores. In 2003, the range expanded to include three additional sizes: Reyes, Coloniales, and Robusto Extra. Along with this expansion, the brand’s livery and cigar band were updated to reflect its esteemed status. In 2009, the Trinidad Robusto T was introduced, further enriching the brand’s lineup.
 
Craftsmanship at El Laguito
 
For several years, Trinidad cigars were crafted at the renowned El Laguito factory, where the celebrated Cohiba cigars are also produced. Here, a uniquely fragrant and aromatic medium-flavored blend of filler and binder leaves from the Vuelta Abajo zone was perfected, ensuring the highest quality and consistency in every Trinidad cigar.
